For much of the day, we walked past some big estates on one side and woodlands that are conservation areas on the other side. Then it was along side the sheep fields and down to Sudeley Castle. David opted to not go in and I was relieved to leave my backpack off as I wandered around the castle on my own, That place was overwhelming. They had many historical displays and rooms, a church, and extensive gardens. There was information to read everywhere and short films to watch. The castle’s history is long! Henry VIII’s last wife, Katherine Parr is buried there. Anyway, after an hour and a half of wandering, I suddenly became exhausted and decided to join David. All five of us met up outside about the same time. After some restorative ice cream, we trekked the last half mile into Winchcombe.

We are staying at the White Hart. It is an older building, but our room is quite large and comfortable. The plumbing makes strange noises but other than that, we have no complaints! The bed is very comfy after this short-walking, but tiring day.
