Today was the reason I wanted to come back to the Cotswolds. It was an absolutely diamond day! The weather was perfect, the flowers were blooming, and except for the steep trek up to Broadway Tower, the walking was relatively easy. We had a short ice cream break in Broadway and then headed up to Broadway Tower. The sixth Earl of Coventry had it built in 1798 for his wife. It was considered a folly—“a decorative building with no practical purpose.” It is a popular attraction now. No one wanted to pay five pounds to climb to the top (David and I did that in 2017) so we just ate our lunches there before heading on down to Chipping Camden.

I took so many photos today and will let them speak for what a perfect day it was.

A ‘diamond day’……..I love your description of the time in the Cotswolds. So glad the weather worked out, David’s knee corrected itself enough to walk again and all went well. And thanks for taking me along Carla…….your pictures and blog brighten my day!!! Chris
